In Greenville the evening before Thanksgiving, alone, far from home, but not as far as I expected to be for this holiday. Bad on all counts.

Went on a drive this afternoon - got a tip from a local who told me, "you have to drive this route." I was excited because I had seen the same route featured in a guidebook in my hotel. Drive for about 45 minutes. Compose first photo, press shutter button - NO MEMORY CARD! WHAT?!!

Quickly rifle through the bag, all pockets. Nope. No card. Anywhere. Oh yeah, left those in the backpack, back in my room! 30 miles away. NOTE TO SELF: check bag BEFORE going on road trip.

No stores nearby to pick up another card. Oh well. Tomorrow - holiday. No family to visit with. Stores closed. Businesses closed. Get back on the road.
